For users, the choice of mode resistance and winding resistance has always been a knotty problem. Our company is also in the process of communication with customers, and customers often ask where the difference is. To sum up, there are three main differences between winding resistance and film resistance:


1. Different production processes and materials
The production process of winding resistance is a production mode of winding the resistance wire on the ceramic tube, which is now controlled by computer and automatically wound.
The production process of mode resistance is: it is made by using high temperature vacuum coating technology to tightly attach carbon to the surface of ceramic rod to form a film layer, then adding appropriate joint cutting, and coating its surface with epoxy resin for sealing protection. The thickness of the carbon film determines the resistance value. The resistor is usually controlled by controlling the thickness of the film and grooving.


2. Because the winding resistance uses the resistance wire as the conductor and can adapt to the relatively high temperature working environment, the winding resistance can be made with small resistance value and small error, and can be used in relatively precise situations.
For example, the shunt resistance in the current range of the multimeter is generally wire wound resistance. Most other parts use ordinary carbon film resistors.


3. Ordinary winding resistance is a coil form with certain inductance and capacitance, which is not suitable for circuits with high frequency. However, the current double-loop winding method can greatly reduce the inductance, so the application range of winding resistance has also been wider.


4. The heat resistance of wire wound resistance is relatively good. It is suitable for making high-power resistance and is not easy to burn out at high temperature.


5. In terms of volume, mode resistance has more advantages, especially in weak current working environment, small volume mode resistance is more popular.
